Each of the categories has a max of 20 points with a total possible score of 100. Category names: Inventive, Variety, Artistic (smooth), Beets (sticks and body movements matching the beet of the music), and Enthusiasm (the ability to have fun with the juggling sticks).

b.) Only tricks that are performed smoothly from beginning to end will count towards a higher score. Do not rush your performance. If you have fast music, try to hit the juggling stick on every second or third beat instead of on every beat. This will help to slow down and smooth-out your juggling stick performance.

c.) One drop per minute will not count against you, unless you stop playing fore more that three seconds. This rule is to encourage the stick jugglers to go as extreme on as many juggling stick tricks as possible and not have a small slip count against them. After dropping the juggling stick, a quick pick it up with the handles, will likely help in your over all score. The most important thing to know when performing at this juggling stick competition is to stay in-control and to perform the biggest tricks and most amount of different tricks as possible in under six minuets, while staying in-control of the juggling stick aka devilstick and the handles.
